About Brian Dao

I am a former United States Paratrooper; served in the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division back in the 90's. I've been working in the IT field for over 10 years and have had various positions to include database & server administration, web/desktop application programming and network admin. My current job is to keep the bits from falling out of the switches at Hewlett Packard. Pinkie is a software that I designed and programmed in the wee hours. It's been in the works for over three years during which time, plenty of skittles and cokes have been consumed.

Dam, this happend when I tried to enter Bulk DNS and input via textbox. It was running a ping in the background too.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    • Brian Dao says:

I’ve run into a couple of instances like this – I’ve had a couple of thousands of IP’s lockup/pinged wth no issue but then again I got the same error when I was doing Bulk DNS/ping for just a couple dozens.

Haven’t had the time to investigate it thoroughly. I’ll try to get to it when I can.

      Thanks.

Hey – every time I run your app it’s asking for Your (Brian’s) user profile to save the log file to. Can you please fix that? Thanks.
(I don’t see your policy regarding emails so i’m not posting my own. Feel free to go to jonathan.mailinator.com to read your responses.)

    • Brian Dao says:

This is a bug known bug – happened when I compiled Pinkie. Thought I had fixed it already but I guess that’s not the case.
Here’s a quick fix though, go to Settings Menu, click on the Misc tab and update the Log File Path.
